Hoop Magic Athletic Training Programs is an innovative approach to training that was created for youth and adult athletes to reach their full potential, and perform their very best. 

We believe that athletes must train through the season, not just to the season. Any benefits gained in the off-season will be lost within the first month of in-season if training is not maintained.  

 

In addition, training must be a long-term investment. Just as a student develops an academic foundation in 7-8th grade, an athlete creates the performance foundation during the same period of time.

Monday - Friday 4:00pm - 7:00pm
Saturday 8:00am - 10:00am
Sunday 2:00pm - 4:00pm
Basketball Training at Hoop Magic creates a training program for all player levels. Our training programs are specialized to accommodate a wide range of skill levels.

The training program at Hoop Magic can accommodate not only the basketball player, but any player in any sport. The training program involves speed, agility, strength and conditioning. Which benefits a player in any sport. Our program can be adapted to any player.

Basketball Training:

Basketball is a acceleration and deceleration sport that requires immense strength to facilitate the explosive power that is required for shooting, jumping, offensive and defensive pressure, rebounding and the many other demanded skills of the game.

Workout Curriculum:
Eight (8) continuous stations that train core strength, upper and lower strength, fast twitch muscle strength, explosive power, conditioning and arm strength. Speed training that builds the explosive first step needed in a off the dribble move and the quick changes required in the game.

*Endurance training that improves longevity of muscular power, maintenance of speed and strength levels.
*Injury prevention training that increases the "power chain" strength to reduce risk of injury.
*Explosive power and strength training that concentrates on the declaration strength of fast twitch muscle fibers to improve muscular power levels.
*Tendon and Ligament strengthening.
*Conditioning and Endurance Training

Program Pricing:
*Training offered Monday - Sunday
*Marlow Talley and Terrell Woody incorporate their expertise to run all training programs together.
*One session - $75.00
*Two sessions - $125.00
*Three sessions - $175.00
*Five sessions - $325.00 (to be used within a month)
Specialized One on One Training - $100.00/hr. (appointments only)
*Weekends are by appointments. Please call on Friday's to make sure that the regular training sessions have not changed.
*There is not a one time registration/membership fee for our training sessions.

  • Played High School Basketball at Broad Run High School in Ashburn, VA.

  • Played Collegiate Basketball at Cleveland State in Tennessee (JUCO) as a Center then played at Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, VA as a Power Forward, Small Forward and Center

  • Played Professionally in Finland for the Pyrbaskets and then in Germany and Qatar

  • Returned to the United States and played in the Pro-Am in Va., Md., and D.C. area

  • After his professional career he began a career in basketball training in the No. Va. area. Established and maintained his own company. Later he became a trainer for Worldgate Sport and Health before bringing his professional training to Hoop Magic

  • He has successfully created a basketball training program that has emphasis on incorporating strength, speed, agility and conditioning into every training
    session
