A Division Spring Championship Game - Flavas Captures their 3rd A Division Championship by defeating D-3

Final Score: Flavas (55) -  D-3 (33)

Team Flavas: 3-Time A Division Champions

Championships: 07 Winter, 08 Winter and 08 Spring

B Division Spring League

B Division Spring Championship Game - CARFAX Captures their 1st division championship by defeating The Ridge

Final Score: CARFAX (35) - The Ridge (31)

Defense wins Championships! The CARFAX Defense allowed 8 total second half points. Tied at 31 with 2:32 they did not allow The Ridge to score a single point down the crucial stretch.

With their Captain and leading scorer Ryan Jones scoring the first 2 points of the game and later fouling out.  Others stepped up with big games, clutch 3 pointers by Drew Heller and Bryan Otto allowed CARFAX to dictate a low scoring tempo to the game.  Once again the LEAGUE LEADER (without a doubt) in rebounding Cameron Kirby cleaned the glass with (at least) 15 boards to insure no second chance shots and the teams tough 2-3 zone defense held true to form allowing no interior scoring.   Ben Roa had a huge steal late and when fouled knocked down key free throws to put CARFAX up the 5 margin they would never relinquish on the way to claiming their first Hoop Magic Championship. They plan to come back better and will be prepared to defend their title during the Summer league.
