Game of the Week: Run n Gun vs. Baileys

The B league has developed into a very competitive league were teams are exercising their abilities and skills to overtake their opponents.

A Division Recap (Saturday)

Player of the Week: Russ Wheeler (#10), Pick n Roll

Team of the Week: Tha City

Game of the Week: Pick n Roll vs. PBC

At 11:15am the weekend games open with a thriller as Tha City and Overtime played a triple overtime, yes triple overtime game that saw Tha City capturing the victory. In the first half Overtime jumped out to a 20 point lead and the team felt good going into the half but there was a sign that they over looked - the 20 point lead was now down to 10 which gave Tha City the hope! Well hope is all they needed and then there was the second half.

Tha City played as well as anyone expected, with many on lookers Tha City battled at the glass and played one of the best games this season, then they tied the game with less than 1:00 remaining in regulation but Overtime had an opportunity to closeout the game with a winning shot that fell short then game went into the first overtime, then the second overtime and yes the third overtime came and went. Then it was SUDDEN DEATH PLAY - First team to score!

On the opening tip Overtime had captured the possession with an opportunity to win but - IT DIDN'T HAPPEN! On the next possession Tha City was fouled on a shot attempt  - 1 and 1  - The game was decided on a FREE THROW!

703 All-Stars defeated Them Boyz in a tough game, next week 703 All-Stars will battle 3-Time league champion Flavas - BEWARE!!!

Young Guns handed Ziggy Stars another loss but both teams battled from the beginning to last whistle...

Friends competed as Flavas and PBC battled for bragging rights again and Flavas still rule the courts! This is was game that both teams didn't want to give an inch but I must say PBC only having players showed that with their entire squad this might been a differrent result.

Fundamental Hoops (F-Hoops) and Lifetime battled in a back and forth game with F-Hoop coming out on top and getting back on the winning track. By no means was this a easy game for both teams, Lifetime only having five players and F-Hoops loaded... Teams must understand this is a tough league and each week the games get more competitive and missing players can be the difference in the opportunity to capture a win!

The game that competed for the best game of the day was between undefeated DLT Solutions and D-3. DLT Solutions was looking to remain undefeated and kings of the A division but D-3 was looking to add a "W" in the win column so something had to give! This type of game shows the strength of the league!!! Great game.......

The game of games was between Pick n Roll and Str8-up, Pick n Roll showed why they must be considered as one of the favorites for the championship! This game came down to a last second attempt in regulation for Str8-up to capture the victory......Pick n Roll - I must acknowlddge the play of the week when the first half was coming to close when Pick n roll forced a turnover and one of the best teamwork plays I have witnessed this season when the ball was advanced and passed to a hustling Jason McGraw who raised like a Phoenix from a fiery field and connected on three point shot closing out the first half....
