Week #3 Game Photo Highlights

Week #3 Game Recaps

As teams are settling into the league teams are beginning to scout their opponents and strategy has become a clear part of each teams game plan. Familiar teams and players are looking to gain any advantage possible to stay on top. Remember last year champions CARFAX was 6th in the final season standings.

The battle for league supremacy was at its highest this week when undefeated DLT Solutions battled PBC for the opportunity to take over first place in the league.  The A division has some of the best and most experience ballers in the metropolitan area playing. Allot of players who are currently playing professional basketball internationally are keeping their skills sharp by competing in the hoop magic adult league. This is not a league for the weak at heart player, but if you think you have game bring your squad and shows what you got!

B Division Recap

Player of the Week: Deashawn Branch (#3), Wildcats

Team of the Week: Rubber Ducks

Game of the Week: Baileys vs. Wildcats

The best game of the night was between Baileys and Wildcats. At the beginning of the game both teams was trying to figure out how to go about defending each other. Baileys loaded with Herndon veteran players and Wildcat's the new team to the league with outstanding players themselves.

Player of the week DaeShawn Branch (#3) was not going to let the Wildcats go down in defeat without a fight. When the word go around the gym, everyone came over to watch. The game was played with excellent sportsmanship from both teams. But at the end Bailey's pulled off the victory. Week #4 Bailiey's will play Run n Gun to remain in the chase for number one.

Remaining on top Rubber Ducks defeated Chosen Ones setting up a battle for first place next week. Rubber Ducks are no strangers to being on top, last season they were undefeated until they were defeated by Run n Gun.  Week #4 Rubber Ducks will play Wildcats to remain at the top or will Wildcats knock off #1 and move back to the top of the division.

CARFAX has gotten back on the winning side by defeating Donkeys. Last season champions know how important getting  early wins can help when playoff seeding is established.

Teams beware of The Ridge!!!!

A Division Recap

Player of the Week: C Russell (#1), Flavas

Team of the Week: Flavas

Game of the Week: Flavas vs. Baileys

The best game of the day was between undefeated DLT Solutions and PBC. Both teams are loaded with current international and former division I ballers. Week #1 Player of the Week, Jeremiah "Man Man" Johnson (Pro) has now become a marked man in the league. Man Man has commanded the best defenders to prevent him from scoring at will. This is what the league is all about the best playing the best, this is ADULT MEN'S BASKETBALL.

The game went back and forth as PBC was not breaking, the battle on the boards was fearice and no one I mean no one was backing down (all in good sportsmanship)! Eric Singletary formally of Rice University began taking the controls of the PBC offense by directing traffic and putting players in their position to score the need buckets. But towards the end of the game DLT took over as they pulled off a close victory. Next Week the level of completion doesn't get any weaker as DLT will play Team Pop and their scoring machine STEVE POPAGEORGE! What a game this will be!!!

PBC will battle Flavas! It doesn't get any easier.......

After DLT defeated PBC, some of the talk between DLT and Flavas started up! DLT remember Flavas is 3-Time Division Champs!!! So pick and choose wisely....I guess all the talk got Flavas in a playing frenzy like sharks....When the game began Flavas started out a little shaky but like always it was over sooner than later......KEEP IN MIND 3-TIMES ----3-TIMES DIVISION CHAMPS!

Tha City put the smack down on Pick n Roll - What is happing with Pick n Roll? Look out for Tha City........

Str8-up defeated Team Pop in a close well played game, I missed the dunk but Kenny "Skywalker" Smith did it again! I am going to capture the next one and start posting the names of the player who gets posterized! That's a new category for the week "Posterized Player of the Week" - If you get dunk on - You get the Posterized Player of the Week!!!!

Teams please please beware of Str8-up!! Something's very very different about this team....Week two they scored 118 point the most ever in the Hoop Magic Adult league.
